The Art of School Days

     School Days is a 12 episode short anime that is under the genres school life, romance, slice of life, comedy, drama, psychological, and tragedy. It was adapted from a visual novel of the same name. It is about a high school guy named Makoto Ito who rides the train everyday to go to school. He saw and fell in love with a girl named Kotonoha Katsura riding on the same train everyday and going on the same school but are not in the same class. Makoto is your typical guys who don't have the guts to talk to a girl they like, so she doesn't know his existence. One day a close female friend of Makoto, Sekai Saionji, saw him viewing the photo of Kotonoha in his cellphone and Sekai decided to help him get close to Kotonoha. Little did Makoto know that Sekai is actually inlove with him. Thus their school life continues with them bounded by their love triangle that would change their life.

Recommendation
     If you're a fan of school life romances anime, you would like the first part of this anime but be aware that this is also a psychological tragedy type of anime, so if you don't like tragedy, I would not recommend you to watch this.
     But if you're a fan of psychologial anime with yandere killings and bloodshed, I would definitely recommend you to watch this. This anime just perfectly shows how a yandere became a yandere. It is well made and the logic is very reasonable.
     I would recommend you to be a teenager or above to watch this. This show is really not for kids and not really PG-13. It is more or less of a R-15 if there is a rating of that kind. So if you have time and still haven't watch School Days why don't you try and watch this little bit of a crazy anime.

Review on the art of the short anime
      The anime being short is very well made. The only downfall I've seen is that it doesn't introduce the supporting characters very well.  I think that's the restriction they got for only being a 12 episode short anime. The art in the plot is not your typical high school life story. It changes from being a dramatic love story to a tragic love story with yandere killings. It presents how a shy guy turns into a ladies' man and how a girl's love turns her into a killing machine.
     Personally, I think this is made to warn guys who are in a relationship and is still going out with other girls. It's a warning to us guys, that we must be loyal or we'll end up just like Ito. If it's not the reason why it's made, maybe it is the impact the anime left me. Overall it's a good anime and has a short but deep storyline.
